Media Covers IEA China Environment Forum Event
It was truly fantastic to experience this event and see the wonderful participation by all attendees at the 2012 Sino-American Juvenile International Energy Alliance Environment Conference which took place on June 15, 2012 in Guiyang, China. There were great student speakers as well as government speakers and university speakers -all with important messages to share.
The audience, mostly consisting of students, asked very good questions of the speakers both at the end of the morning session and the end of the afternoon session.
Guiyang No. 1 High School really went the distance in supporting this forum. The school even purchased radio receiver headsets for all audience members and brought in professional translators from Shanghai for this event. The translators allowed for much more information to be disseminated than during the first environment forum held in Guiyang two years ago. It really kept things moving and enabled the speakers to speak at a normal pace, and then not to have to wait for a translator to translate what was just said.
This was certainly a major event and was well covered by many Chinese media outlets. The media included TV, newspaper, and online publications. Organizers of this event include the International Energy Alliance, Guiyang No. 1 High School, Hunter Programs USA and Guiyang Hunter Programs.
It seems that much was learned and many benefited through participation, both by Chinese participants and American participants. Please follow the links below to see what others are reporting about this event.
